Tanner Bryson is a fourth-generation rancher, professional horse trainer, and acclaimed Western artist with deep roots in Arizona’s cowboy and rodeo culture. Raised on the historic Dancing Apache Ranch near Sedona, Tanner learned to tend cattle, train horses, and compete in rodeo under his father’s guidance, founder of the celebrated B Cross Performance Horses, a program known for producing multiple PRCA Horse of the Year winners.
A lifelong rodeo competitor, Tanner’s professional career spanned from 1997 to 2006, during which he consistently ranked among the Top 20 Team Ropers in the world. His rodeo accolades include:

After earning a degree in Graphic Design and Illustration from the University of Arizona, Tanner also launched a series of successful ventures that reflect his passion for horses and heritage. From 2006 to 2011, he operated Bryson Ranch Equine Rehab & Fitness Center, Arizona’s first natural spring-fed equine swimming facility, leading the industry in equine recovery and conditioning.
In 2011, he founded Horsin’ Around Adventures, offering guided trail rides through the family’s historic ranchland. His passion for Western art led to the creation of the Tanner Bryson Art Studio in 2020, where he brings cowboy life to canvas and bronze through painting, illustration, and sculpture. His work has been featured in Western Horseman, honored at the Bob Feist Invitational, and permanently displayed in the PRCA ProRodeo Hall of Fame Museum.
Tanner is a longstanding member of two community-focused Western organizations:
-
Rancheros Visitadores (Santa Ynez, CA), supporting Susan G. Komen Cancer Foundation
-
Verde Vaqueros (Scottsdale, AZ), fundraising for the Boys & Girls Club
Today, Tanner continues to train horses at his Camp Verde facility, guide riders through the historic family ranch, and create original Western art that reflects a lifelong commitment to land, legacy, and the cowboy way of life. Alongside his wife, he has raised five children in the same traditions that have defined his family for generations.
