Michael O'connor
Michael O’Connor is a retired U.S. Army Chief Warrant Officer II and combat-proven intelligence leader with over 21 years of service, including 10 years in Special Operations Forces (SOF). With six combat tours supporting elite units such as the 75th Ranger Regiment and 7th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Michael is a subject matter expert in all-source intelligence, targeting, UAS integration, and joint operational planning across cyber, electronic warfare, land, air, and maritime domains.
A highly respected operations manager and mission-focused leader, Michael has built and led high-performing teams in dynamic and high-stakes environments. He has trained, mentored, and empowered intelligence professionals at every level, served as a key liaison across interagency and joint-force commands, and authored doctrine used to combat emerging global threats. His approach to leadership is defined by integrity, adaptability, and a strong commitment to service.
Today, Michael serves as CEO of a proudly small, mission-driven enterprise rooted in land stewardship, ecological restoration, and rural resilience. Led by a diverse team—including a 100% disabled veteran, a Native American land steward, and a multigenerational rancher—the company brings over 85 years of combined expertise in land management, horse training, and ranch operations. Under Michael’s leadership, the organization is addressing the wild horse and burro overpopulation crisis with innovative, sustainable solutions that honor America’s cultural heritage and ensure long-term food and environmental security.
With a Top Secret/SCI clearance, a background in unconventional warfare and large-scale combat operations (LSCO), and a deep commitment to both national defense and rural preservation, Michael brings a rare combination of strategic insight, operational excellence, and purpose-driven leadership to every mission he undertakes.
